Sezer and Guler named in Turkish train-on squad

The Turkish Rugby League Association have named an extended 33-man train-on squad for the upcoming Emerging Nations World Championship in Western Sydney this October.

To ensure a competitive squad, Turkey has selected from both domestically and abroad, with players from England, Australia, Germany and France joining players from the Turkish domestic competition.

Included in the Turkish train-on squad are Canberra Raiders players, Aidan Sezer and Emre Guler. Aidan and Emre are both born to Turkish parents, qualifying under RLIF Eligibility rules.

The Turkish Rugby League Association will refine the squad in the lead up to the tournament kick off in October.

Turkey will play the Solomon Islands and Japan in Pool C.
