2018 Rugby League Emerging Nations World Championship Result: 8th


The Vanuatu Rugby League (VRL) is the single controlling body and National Federation representing Rugby League in Vanuatu.

Currently the VRL has domestic competitions in the capital Port Vila (Shefa Province) and Santo (Sanma Province). The aim is to expand the game into both Malakula (Malampa Province) and Tanna (Tafea Province). It also aims to set up domestic competitions for females and juniors.

The VRL National team has played in 6 Test matches (4 staged in Vanuatu) and an International 9s tournament since 2012. VRL representative teams have also completed a tour of Queensland, Australia and played an exhibition game on Suncorp Stadium before an NRL trial game.
